LSH Auto recognised for dedication to diversity and inclusion
LSH Auto has been recognised nationally as a leader in Diversity and Inclusion as part of the UK’s biggest motor trade awards.
The company has been shortlisted alongside only two others at the AM Awards in the Diversity and Inclusion category despite the awards receiving a record number of entries this year.
LSH Auto works hard to promote diversity and inclusion in all its forms across gender, ethnicity, mental and physical disability and different abilities, LGBT+ rights, socio-economic groups and more. It’s currently working towards its aim to achieve a 50/50 female to male workforce and has fully-trained mental health first aiders across the business.
Ian Williams, Head of Human Resources at LSH Auto, said: “We are passionate about promoting diversity and inclusion in all its forms, so we’re thrilled to be recognised as one of the best three automotive businesses in the UK for our work in this area. Our colleagues are our most treasured assets and we’re committed to creating a workplace that enables them to maximise their potential.
“The automotive industry has traditionally seen a much higher percentage of male colleagues than female colleagues. LSH Auto has a desire and appetite to change this.
“We want diversity and inclusion to be part of everything we do, at all levels of the business. We believe whole-heartedly that nobody should be discriminated against because of who they are or what they believe. Opportunities at LSH Auto are open to all our colleagues, based on their hard work, ambition and ability.
“We understand that diversity provides a range of experiences and perspectives that strengthen and add value to our collective performance. And we know that our colleagues perform best when they feel included, valued and treated fairly.”
LSH Auto is recruiting for a number of positions across Birmingham, Solihull, Tamworth, Stockport, Macclesfield and Whitefield from technicians, aftersales and sales executives, to parts operatives, customer experience team members and central support roles.
Tracy Ellam, Operations Director at LSH Auto, said: “We couldn’t be more delighted to be shortlisted for such an important award. We’re proud of the progress we’re making, and our journey will continue to improve equity, diversity and inclusion across our industry.”
The AM Awards recognise the best car retailers, automotive suppliers and car manufacturers in the UK. The winners will be announced at the AM Awards on 12th May at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge Hotel.
