This week’s round up of London appointments includes CBRE, Future plc and First Hydrogen. Read on to find out more.
John Knight and Chris Williams, CBRE
Global real estate advisor CBRE has bolstered its Life Sciences offering with a series of new appointments. Adding to the market leading team, the firm has hired Life Sciences Capital Markets expert John Knight (pictured left) as a senior director.
He joins the firm from Carter Jonas LLP where he headed the National Investment & Asset Management team. Since joining Carter Jonas in 2019, John has predominantly focussed on the emerging life science investment and development markets in the Oxford Cambridge Arc, advising on a number of notable transactions for life science investors.
John has recently advised on the sale of a major ground-up life science development opportunity within the Oxford Cambridge Arc to Breakthrough Properties, a leading global developer of life sciences JV between Tishman Speyer and Bellco Capital.
In another new appointment, the firm has appointed Chris Williams (pictured right) as head of London & South East Life Sciences. Chris is a highly experienced agent, who has led the firm’s South East Tenant Advisory team for over 17 years.
In his new role, Chris will leverage his deep expertise in advising life sciences occupiers, with a focus on the London and CaMKOx region as it continues to attract and develop industry leaders.

Clare Dove, Future plc
Future plc, the global platform for specialist media, has today announced the promotion of Clare Dove to UK group commercial director.
Dove joined Future in 2005 as Sales Director and now leads the commercial teams for the company in the UK. With over 30 years’ experience in driving advertising sales at major publishing companies, she is the ideal candidate at Future to identify new business areas and strengthen the company’s partnerships with clients and agencies.
Prior to joining Future, Dove held senior commercial roles at Condé Nast, Trinity Mirror, and IPC Southbank where she also served as Board Director. Dove has spearheaded sales teams for a variety of media channels including digital, B2B, national press, outdoor and radio brands, as well as lifestyle and specialist consumer print magazines.
Clare also held several key sales roles at the largest premium magazine publisher in Europe, Gruner + Jahr, as well as Global, The Guardian and Centaur Media.
Clare said: “I’m looking forward to taking the next step in my career with Future. The business is going from strength to strength, driven by its forward-thinking approach to content and revenue diversification.
“I’m extremely motivated to contribute to its continued growth with my skill set in innovative thinking, sales strategy and account management.”
Stephen Pendrey, First Hydrogen
First Hydrogen has announced the appointment of Stephen Pendrey as chief engineer – vehicle program for its automotive division. His appointment to the company’s London based technical team signifies further growth and commitment to delivering the brand’s first hydrogen-fuelled, zero-emissions utility vehicles.
With 35 years of experience in cutting-edge product development for the automotive sector, Stephen has led multinational teams and been commercially responsible for a range of international projects with brands including Jaguar Land Rover, Daimler Trucks and Volvo.
His most recent role, automotive programmes director at Belcan Global Engineering (Belcan) saw him establish and grow the Belcan Automotive Division in the UK. Stephen has worked on a number of innovative electric vehicle projects, developing products including high-performance sports cars, light-duty trucks, buses and military vehicles.

He brings knowledge and expertise across the complete product development process, having led teams to successfully deliver many high-value, complex projects.
