Toast TV hires Sophie Bell as Managing Director
Toast, the award-winning full-service TV commercials and content production agency, has announced the appointment of Sophie Bell as Managing Director.
Bell will be looking to expand partnerships, attract more large brands to Toast, particularly with a focus on B2B and internal communications, and she will spearhead Toast’s ambition to be at the forefront of sustainable video production.
She brings a wealth of experience from her previous role as Managing Director at Lonelyleap, where she worked with acclaimed brands such as Google, The National Trust, The World Economic Forum and Nokia.
Bell will lead Toast’s sustainability drive with an in-depth deep dive into the company’s current carbon footprint and will draw up an industry best practice guide with a special focus on tackling the primary sources of video production emissions, such as lighting, power and transport of equipment. Toast will also be looking to work with more partners who share their sustainability values to ensure that video productions have a sustainable supply-chain built in.
Felicity Warren, Executive Producer and Founder of Toast, said: “Sophie is the ideal candidate to spearhead Toasts’ expansion into branded content. We are known in the industry for our extremely high level of client servicing, and Sophie will play a key role expanding our creative ideas and stylish production to our current clients and new business while driving our sustainability agenda to be a leading voice at the forefront of sustainable video production. As well as our commitment to sustainability, Sophie and I are both mentors at the Creative Mentor Network, so it’s great to have a new member of the team who shares our passion to make the creative world more inclusive.”
Sophie Bell, Managing Director at Toast, said: “The uniqueness of Toast’s one-stop-shop service and existing client base puts us in a good position to win new partnerships. Their commitment to sustainable video production is particularly innovative, and I can’t wait to be part of this much needed effort in our industry.”
