Bradford construction chemical supplier creates jobs to fill expanded “concrete lab”

Bradford based Oscrete UK has doubled its laboratory capacity to produce more products to help with challenges in the construction industry.

The manufacturer is now looking to recruit trainee concrete technicians to create new and improve existing admixtures which change the properties of concrete, meeting a range of construction needs.

Oscrete UK Ltd is one of the UK’s leading specialist construction chemical suppliers. Its expanded laboratory now includes two mixing bays, a separate area for wet production and a clean area for creating “new to the world” products. The growing team also plans to use its increased space for onsite customer training.

Oscrete’s technical and development manager Dean Clarke said: “Expanding our lab is key for the growth of our business and the increased capacity and ability for product innovation means we’re also creating local jobs – roles which will expand our team of technicians who make the business-critical, concrete alchemy happen!”

Oscrete manufactures a “comprehensive range” of concrete admixtures for the pre-cast and ready-mix market and developing and supplying additives for the manufacture of dry bagged mortars and adhesives.

Dean added: “Our concrete lab really is the nerve centre of our business – the place where mixing, trialling, sampling and experimenting on behalf of our customers brings their product and construction goals and visions to life.

“Since our relaunch in January, we now have more space to do the work we excel at – and with new team members soon to come on board, we’re even further along the path to becoming the UK and Ireland’s leading supplier of admixture and additive products.”
