First look at new £2.4m Belfast family entertainment centre unveiled

Hollywood Bowl Group, one of the UK’s leading leisure operators, has completed a new £2.4m entertainment centre at the redeveloped Odyssey complex in Belfast.

The centre, located in the city’s Titanic Quarter, is the first of its kind to open in Northern Ireland and is the group’s second major family bowling and entertainment centre to open in the last five months, following the launch at Birmingham Resorts World in December.

Stephen Burns, CEO of Hollywood Bowl Group, said: “The opening of our Belfast centre marks a significant milestone for our business, as we continue to grow into new and exciting markets.

“The Titanic Quarter provides us with an opportunity to be part of the city’s hospitality and leisure recovery after a challenging couple of years, and we can’t wait to welcome friends and family to experience great value entertainment.

“Our cutting-edge technology, advanced lighting and American diner make our Belfast centre a great example of a latest-generation Hollywood Bowl and we have received some excellent feedback from our first customers after opening ahead of Easter weekend.”

Hollywood Bowl Belfast has created 30 new jobs in a variety of different front of house and hospitality team roles. It features 20 bowling lanes, including four VIP lanes, as well as “high-tech scoring”.

American-style food and drinks will be served to lanes and in the Hollywood Diner, offering classics such as hot dogs, burgers, and shakes. Guests will also be able to strike it lucky in the amusement area, playing all time family favourites such as air hockey, racing driver and Space Invader games.
