Stratford regeneration zone proves “flagship” development for London housebuilder

Bellway London has just one apartment remaining for sale at a development which has contributed to Stratford’s ongoing regeneration.

Legacy Wharf is located within the regeneration zone on a former industrial site, which first came into focus ahead of the 2012 Olympic Games. Bellway London has built 146 apartments at the site in Cooks Road, adjacent to Pudding Mill River and a short walk from Pudding Mill Lane DLR, just one mile from Westfield Stratford City.

Emma Hamlett, sales director for Bellway London, said: “Legacy Wharf has been one of our flagship London developments in recent years.

“Our customers, of which around two-thirds are first-time buyers as well as a significant number of investors, have been keen to take advantage of the value for money offered by homes at Legacy Wharf, and to reap the benefits of this area’s regeneration.

“Stratford’s appeal continues to grow. While Bellway London does plan to return to the area, this final apartment represents the only chance to secure one of our homes now, and move in this year.”

Bellway London plans to develop parcels of land adjoining Legacy Wharf in the coming years, subject to planning consent being secured. The final property currently available is a duplex apartment split over two floors, within the Channel Sea Court building at Legacy Wharf, which contains 20 apartments.

Emma continued: “Legacy Wharf has made its own contribution to the regeneration of Stratford. This fits with Bellway London’s commitment to providing high-quality homes on brownfield sites in areas that are attainable to first-time buyers, while also appealing to a range of other purchasers including investors and downsizers.

“Our ongoing commitment to the area reflects our confidence in its bright future. Our final buyers at Legacy Wharf will own their own part of Stratford’s legacy.”
