This week’s round up of London appointments includes Causeway Technologies, Made.com and Weston Homes. Read on to find out more.
Paul Madeira, Causeway Technologies
Construction software provider Causeway Technologies has appointed Paul Madeira as the company’s new Chief Customer Officer. Paul has moved into the newly created role to continue the organisation’s drive to become a truly customer-centric business.
His role will involve working with various teams within Causeway, enabling collaboration across the company to provide customers with a consistent and seamless service. Paul has over 30 years’ experience in the software industry, working in a variety of senior Director roles within sales, operations, Executive business development and marketing.
Paul commented: “I am delighted to be taking on this new role, which will focus on making sure we thoroughly understand all of our customers pains, passions and aspirations, so we can help them to become more successful.
“I look forward to managing the different customer-facing teams across our business and joining the “dots” between sales, customer success, operations, product and engineering so that we can take a fully coordinated, joined-up approach to delivering a great customer experience.”
Phil Brown, chief executive at Causeway Technologies, added: “Paul has been a fantastic asset to the business since he joined us 15 years ago, and I am delighted to see him step into this critical role on our Board.

Claire Valoti, Made.com
Made.com Group has announced the appointment of Claire Valoti as an independent non-executive director. She will join the company’s board of directors with effect from May 13 and will become a member of the audit and risk and remuneration committees.
Claire has over two decades of experience in the tech industry and in leadership roles at high-profile digital and consumer technology businesses, including her current role as Vice President of EMEA, at Snap Inc.
Prior to joining Snap Inc, Claire was the director of agency partnerships at Facebook, helping clients understand how to reach customers using social media. She also held director level roles at Weve, O2 Media and Telefonica, where she led the media businesses.
Claire began her career at Mindshare, part of the WPP group where she started the digital function to help brands use digital to reach their customers, consequently ending up being Head of Digital Display and Mobile.
Susanne Given, chair of MADE.COM, said: “I am delighted to welcome Claire Valoti to the MADE Board. Claire brings a wealth of digital marketing experience relating to both the UK and international markets, and her deep understanding of how businesses engage with digital-native customers will further strengthen the existing mix of skills on our Board.”

Sean Ruane, Weston Homes
Volume housebuilder Weston Homes has announced the appointment of Sean Ruane as regional sales director, to help drive the promotion and sales of the group’s current and pipeline schemes in London and the Southwest.
Sean Ruane joins Weston Homes from Joseph Homes where he worked for the past three years, firstly as head of sales before being promoted to sales director a position where he was responsible for setting up a new department including implementing systems and processes.
Sean’s experience also includes positions as sales manager at Fairview New Homes and sales and marketing director at Crest Nicholson, with a combined experience of 21 years in the property industry and a proven track record of delivering over £2bn of property during this time with a particular focus on London and the Southeast.
Working closely with Bob Weston, chairman and managing director, and Suzanne Aplin, group sales and marketing director, Sean will work on implementing a people first approach in the sales and marketing strategy across the London and Southwest Weston Homes developments from acquisition through to legal completion and handover to all customers..
Sean said: “I am pleased to be joining one of the leading housebuilders in the industry with such a highly diverse range of schemes. This is an exciting time for the business, and I am looking forward to being able to utilise my knowledge acquired from over 20 years of experience to help continue the sales success of Weston Homes’ current and future developments”.
Bob Weston added: “Sean’s expansive portfolio of experience within the property industry and skill sets including market research, land acquisitions and sales progression, site sales set up and planned marketing makes Sean a valuable new addition to Weston Homes.”
