£10m Yorkshire renewable technology specialist expands network with East Anglia acquisition

Low carbon and renewable technology specialist Green Building Renewables has grown its UK network of local renewables experts with its acquisition of Colchester based Eco East Anglia.

Eco East Anglia is the second regional business to join Green Building Renewables’ growing network in the last twelve months, following Daventry based Bright Green Renewables. The East Anglian company will now begin a process of rebranding to align with the rest of the business.

Launched in 2021, Green Building Renewables offers a range of renewable technology solutions through its growing network of local experts; it provides air and ground source heat pumps, underfloor heating, solar PV, EV charging, and battery storage.

Its network currently includes offices in York, Doncaster, Daventry and Wellingborough and now, with its expansion into East Anglia, adds an office in Colchester.

Managing director at Green Building Renewables, Chris Delaney, said, “Eco East Anglia is another fantastic addition to our business. It now allows us to offer our award-winning customer service and renewable energy knowledge to customers in East Anglia, as well as Yorkshire, and the East Midlands.

“The expansion of our business demonstrates our commitment to creating the UK’s best and largest network of low carbon and renewable technology installation experts.”

Philip Fellowes-Prynne, Efficient Building Solutions CEO, added: “Efficient Building Solutions mission is to build knowledge-based businesses that, together, lead the UK’s transformation to efficient, sustainable buildings.

“Through Green Building Renewables, it’s our ambition to create a network of high-quality renewable technology specialists across the UK that will allow as many people as possible to decide to choose renewable energy.   As part of its growth plans, Green Building Renewables is actively acquiring like-minded businesses to create the “UK’s largest network of local renewable energy experts” across mainland Britain. The company now has over 50 staff working across its five offices with over £10m in revenue.
