Egg appoints Platform 195 as its creative agency
Clean energy company Egg has appointed London based Platform 195 as its creative agency of record to launch its new brand and introduce its sustainable energy solutions.
The two-year contract was awarded following a competitive pitch, incorporating key above-the-line channels including out-of-home and regional activations, paid digital and social campaigns and public relations.
Leeds based, Egg, which launched in February 2022, offers the UK’s first subscription-based home chargepoint for electric vehicles (EVs). The company also provides solar panels and batteries for homeowners looking to self-generate and store energy.
Under the banner “We’ve Cracked It”, Platform 195’s fully-integrated campaign centres around bringing clean energy solutions into the mainstream and into the heart of everyday family life. Egg’s EV charger subscription is the initial focus of the campaign, beginning in late April 2022.
“Charging an EV at home with Egg is affordable, hassle-free and offers complete peace of mind - all things that chime with real families looking to make positive changes for their children’s future,” said Stuart Adamson, CEO of Platform 195.
“Platform 195’s creative approach perfectly captures Egg’s purpose to inspire a clearer path to clean energy,” commented Steve Springett, projects and programmes director at Egg.
Steve continued, “By positioning Egg’s products in a jargon-free way that even a child could understand, we’re removing a key barrier to adoption - lack of technical understanding - and showing people that sustainable energy solutions should be part of their ‘now’, rather than something to put off for later.”
The launch of Egg in February 2022 follows the acquisition in 2020 of The Phoenix Works by Liberty Global Ventures, the investment arm of Liberty Global plc (“Liberty Global”).
Platform 195 is a full-service agency specialising in e-commerce and retail, bringing creativity, media and purchase-intent data together to build brand success. The Egg account is overseen by Stuart Adamson, CEO and Dan Jenkins, head of client services.
