Sports tour agency extends sponsorship deal with North West female cricket team

Lancashire Cricket has today announced that sports tour agency Sportsbreaks.com has extended its agreement to remain as the standalone sponsor of Thunder Cricket.

Last year, Sportsbreaks.com made history when it became the regional women’s side’s first standalone sponsor with its logo displayed on the front of Thunder’s playing shirts. Based in Manchester, the agency offers sports travel experiences including football ticket and hotel packages, Formula 1 Grand Prix breaks, domestic and international cricket and many more.

The agency will remain as the Official Sports Travel Partner of Lancashire Cricket and continue to showcase its brand at Emirate Old Trafford via the exclusive Sportsbreaks.com Terrace. Offering an “unrivalled view” from pitch-level, the terrace enables supporters to watch all three England internationals this summer.

As part of the agreement, Sportsbreaks.com also has its logo emblazoned on all of Lancashire Cricket’s non-T20 training wear.

Thunder Captain, Ellie Threlkeld, commented: “It’s been amazing to have Sportsbreaks.com as our own official shirt sponsor for the last year and it’s really pleasing to hear that they have further extended their commitment to supporting the Thunder.

“It just shows the commitment that the Club and Sportsbreaks.com are putting into Thunder Cricket, we feel privileged, and we’re really looking forward to continuing to work together in the coming seasons.

“To have a standalone sponsor as a women’s team demonstrates the huge growth of the female game, including from a commercial perspective, over the last few years.”

Sportsbreaks.com managing director Rob Slawson added: “We’re thrilled to continue our commitment to sponsoring Thunder Cricket, as part of our ongoing relationship with Lancashire Cricket.

“Thunder Cricket are fantastic ambassadors for their sport, and we look forward to developing the relationship with them further over the next few years. Most importantly, this year’s double headers at Emirates Old Trafford promise to be a great showcase for women’s cricket and a chance to inspire the next generation of female cricketers.

“We look forward to watching on proudly from the comfort Sportsbreaks.com Terrace and invite fans to join us for two brilliant afternoons of world-class cricket, hospitality, and entertainment.”
