Yorkshire SME wins place on £1.6bn national framework
A Yorkshire civil engineering SME has been awarded places on two large frameworks.
Leeds-based company Howard Civil Engineering has been shortlisted to tender for a variety of civil engineering works as part of Pagabo’s £1.6bn brand-new National Framework for Civil Engineering and Infrastructure, and has also secured a place on North East Lincolnshire Council’s £73m highways framework.
Pagabo’s National Civils and Infrastructure framework will see Howard Civil Engineering deliver works up to the value of £5m for both local authorities and public sector bodies across the country.
Potential works on North East Lincolnshire Council’s framework include carriageway and footway reconstruction, traffic calming schemes, and civils works in connection with traffic signal and controlled crossing improvements up to the value of £1.5m
Having already been awarded places on North Yorkshire County Council’s Civil Engineering framework, the City of York’s Minor Civils framework and North East Procurement Organisation’s Civil Engineering and Infrastructure Works framework, these awards mean Howard Civil Engineering has secured five framework placements in only 14 months.
Pre-contracts manager Brian Barton (left) spearheaded Howard Civil Engineering’s applications for these frameworks and is thrilled with the outcome.
Brian added, “to go from securing our first ever framework place in March 2021 to winning our fourth and fifth a little over a year later is a huge accomplishment.
“We look forward to working in partnership with these organisations, using our award-winning value engineering capability and our highly experienced team of professionals to deliver a quality product and ensure client satisfaction.”
These sentiments were echoed by Howard Civil Engineering’s pre-construction director Peter Howard, “I am delighted that our expertise and industry-leading knowledge has been recognised by two more framework organisations and I am confident that our impressive portfolio will support our delivery of these highways works.”
