This week's national appointments

Sara Dudgeon, JLL

Commercial property specialist JLL has expanded its Edinburgh office agency team with the appointment of a new Associate.

Sara Dudgeon joins JLL following four years working in the Scottish commercial property market as a senior surveyor at CuthbertWhite. In her new role, Sara will join the market leading team, working with landlord and tenants, to help them address their office needs and requirements.

Sara Dudgeon, Associate at JLL, said, “I’m really excited to be joining JLL’s Edinburgh team. Having worked for four years in the Edinburgh office market, I am eager to put my skills in supporting tenants and landlords to use at JLL, and help the firm’s clients to adapt and thrive in an evolving commercial property landscape.

Sara’s appointment follows the promotion of Edinburgh-based Hannah Done to Associate Director earlier this year. Hannah specialises in tenant representation and has worked at JLL since joining the firm’s graduate scheme in 2017.

Cameron Stott, Lead Director for Edinburgh at JLL, said, “it’s been a really positive start to the year for our Edinburgh office, with Hannah’s well-deserved promotion and the fantastic addition of Sara this month.”

Dave Moore, Liberty Group

Dave Moore has been appointed as ICT Director at property services business Liberty Group.

He took up the role this month (May), bringing 20 years’ experience in business change and transformation in a range of industries including property, construction, financial services and healthcare. Moore, who was voted as one of the UK’s top Chief Information Officers in 2018, will be responsible for setting and executing Liberty’s technology strategy.

He will lead the delivery of complex technology projects, mobilising new client contracts and keeping the organisation safe and secure from cyber threats. Dave’s appointment comes following a recent announcement that Liberty had secured £32 million of new business over the next ten years.

He said: “I’m very much looking forward to helping Liberty to achieve its long and short-term ambitions. I was particularly drawn to Liberty’s straightforward ethos and its commitments to innovation and putting customers at the heart of decisions.

“Despite the challenges of recent years, the company has grown sustainably and I’m excited to be taking on this role at such a significant time.”

Ray Jones, Group Managing Director of Liberty, said: “We are thrilled to be welcoming Dave to our leadership team. His passion for our Liberty Sense values and his wealth of experience shone through from the outset and we are confident he will expertly guide Liberty through this next stage of growth.”

Sara Simpson, Kingswood Homes

Sara Simpson has been named new finance director of Kingswood Homes, to support the award-winning homebuilder’s ambitious growth plans.

Her role will be to provide forecasts and financial analysis to help deliver Kingswood’s determined expansion, as well as fulfil its financial obligations to sub-contractors, suppliers, and employees.

Sara, who’s originally from Norfolk but has lived in the North West for the last 25 years, is looking forward to the challenge. “I enjoy working in an OMB (Office of Management and Budget) environment, and I want to use my experience to support a local independent housebuilder to develop and grow,” she said.

It was while Sara was at MCI that the business underwent huge growth, going from an annual turnover of £7 million to one of more than £56 million. “I’m proud of what we achieved there,” she added. Her experience will help support Kingswood as it pursues its growth plans.

Managing director Paul Jones said: “Sara’s expertise and experience will be a valuable asset to Kingswood as we move forward and continue our aims to grow and become a major part of the housebuilding industry in the UK.”
