UK’s “fastest-growing” independent outsourcer to create 300 new jobs in response to rising energy prices

Kura, an internationally operating specialist in customer service outsourcing, has revealed substantial growth in the utilities sector across markets in the UK, US, and South Africa.

With the recent increase in energy prices, the business has been supporting and preparing its clients for the expected influx in customer service volume over the coming months.

To help support traffic, Kura is expected to create over 300 jobs in the next quarter across customer service and a further 70+ in sales at its Sunderland, Glasgow and Durban sites.

Kura provides a range of “technologically advanced” contact centre services and software solutions for brands, making it one of the “fastest-growing outsourcers” headquartered in the UK. Along with its Glasgow HQ, it also has a site in Sunderland and a further two international offices in Durban, South Africa.

Janine Hunt, client partnership director at Kura, commented: “The increase to the price cap meant that we could forge opportunities to give support to customers who most needed our experience during this challenging time. Our team of dedicated staff put customer needs at the forefront.

“Kura’s growth continues to evolve internationally, meaning that we have greater agility and flexibility to deliver tailor-made solutions for globally focused customers.”

More recently, Kura has doubled its growth rate in South Africa by increasing its overall headcount to 600+ across two sites.

Brian Bannatyne, CEO at Kura, added: “We are passionate about supporting the utilities sector during this difficult period by investing our time and talent to help our clients better serve their customers.

“Kura is growing internationally across three countries, and our people have first-class experience in delivering contact centre service solutions both on and offshore. We help to provide vital support for businesses who need it most.”
