Experience UK adds dates to West Yorkshire export roadshow

Experience UK, the trade body which represents UK companies who design, create, and deliver world-class visitor experiences, will be in Leeds next month, 13th July 2022, for the Yorkshire leg of our Exporting Roadshow series, designed in partnership with the Department for International Trade.

The Roadshow invites companies who supply to Museums, Leisure and Entertainment attractions from Leeds, Bradford, and the wider West Yorkshire region the chance to come together to gain insight into the fundamental support available to drive business growth through export activity.

The informal, fun and engaging afternoon will include bitesize speaker segments from key leaders in the tourism and visitor attraction sector. Delegates will learn how Experience UK represents & supports UK companies, gain insight to DIT’s priority markets & global market activity, and will gain key takeaways from a local Exporting Champion.

There will be plenty of networking opportunities with Experience UK, Department for International Trade and peers within West Yorkshire who supply to the cultural, leisure and entertainment sector. International Trade Advisers will also be present to discuss both local and global business objectives and the support available through DIT.

The free event is targeted at West-Yorkshire based professionals who supply creative and technology-led services to the tourism sector, and will be beneficial to both consultants and companies who are looking to or are currently exporting to museums and visitor attractions globally.

The Yorkshire Exporting Roadshow will take place at Leeds Discovery Centre, Carlisle Road, LS10 1LB. The event will commence at 13:00 and conclude around 16:00 BST. The Roadshow will commence with the speaker segment, and will be followed by networking and complimentary refreshments. Full speaker line up will be confirmed at a later date.

Ian Clappison, director of Experience UK said, “after successfully touring London, Belfast, Manchester and Birmingham we are thrilled to take our Roadshow programme to Leeds for the West Yorkshire edition. Leeds and the wider area has been identified as a Creative Industries hotspot, and I look forward to meeting with the region’s companies and tourism organisations.

“By attending you will garner a range of exporting insight, including how Experience UK supports the sector and DIT’s global market activity. If you’re in the Experience Economy sector and looking to expand your exporting knowledge it really should not be missed.”
