Novus takes the lead on decarbonisation at Housing 2022
Leading maintenance and compliance contractor Novus Property Solutions stepped up its presence at Housing 2022 in Manchester, with its team of senior leaders on hand to offer expert advice including delivering two speaker sessions on one of the event’s hot topics; decarbonisation.
As well as exhibiting throughout the three-day conference by the Chartered Institute of Housing, the national contractor’s Head of Operations, Gary Clay, participated in a well-attended session on the first day of the event, advising visitors from across the housing industry on how businesses can unlock the finances to make net zero a reality.
The session covered several strategies to maximise chances of securing funding, including the value of collaboration between contractors and local authorities.
Head of business development, Claire Bailey-Jones, also joined as a panellist on the on the BEIS and Unlock Net Zero workshop covering SHDF Wave Two funding.
It was Claire’s second time speaking at the conference on behalf of Novus, having delivered a speaker session at Housing 2021, which played a key role in the contractor winning £9m of new business as a direct result of last year’s event.
Novus is highly experienced in decarbonisation strategies, and launched its dedicated Sustain service earlier this year. Sustain provides a one-stop-shop to assist social housing landlords meet decarbonisation targets across their property portfolios.
The contractor’s in-house experts and external partners offer advice and delivery in not only reducing carbon, but also in achieving funding. Benefits of this dedicated service include free of charge funding submissions and Novus-led compliance applications to ensure zero client risk.
