Yorkshire-based Welfare Hire launches new ECO & Social Value Calculator

Welfare Hire takes the next step on their net-zero carbon journey with the launch of their new sustainability calculation tool.

The Yorkshire based specialists, who are part of the Kelling Group, have this week launched a new web-based tool designed to support clients and contractors in the drive for sustainability in terms of CO2 reduction, fuel minimisation and optimal welfare facilities on UK infrastructure and construction sites.

The tool provides empirical data-led project calculations to enable carbon and cost-conscious decision making to those who are seeking pathways to net-zero carbon operations as part of their ongoing ESG requirements, as well as looking at potential cost savings in the current macro environment.

The tool is designed to help clients scope their projects effectively, whilst maximising associated social and environmental benefits and overall project savings. Welfare Hire, who have been collating the data behind the calculator from their ECO units for over two years, are widely recognised in the sustainability field.

Speaking about the launch, Welfare Hire’s commercial director, Andy Grayshon, said: “Our products are already helping clients to make an immediate positive environmental impact.

“With smart ECO water systems as standard, incorporating rainwater harvesting, and smart ECO hybrid solar/lithium power… we are helping clients to optimise onsite facilities whilst reducing overall costs and improving the carbon footprint with every hire. The launch of the ECO & Social Value Calculator elevates this even further.”

“The global climate crisis is not going away overnight,” said Grayshon. “Continuous development and innovation are absolutely imperative. We know we still have a long way to go so resting on our laurels is not an option.

“We are committed to supporting our clients in achieving their ESG goals onsite and will continue to enhance our products and service to ensure we offer the greenest and most innovative added value proposition out there.”
