Northumberland wine company relocates premises following business expansion

An Northumberland-based fine wine, craft beer and spirit merchant, has relocated its premises following an expansion of the business.

Grape and Grain, based in Morpeth, has experienced significant growth and has relocated to a larger retail unit arranged over ground and first floor, let by Bradley Hall Chartered Surveyors and Estate Agents.

Mark Stephenson, owner of Grape and Grain, said: “Grape and Grain is a family owned business that focuses on the customer experience. We offer tailored advice and artisan goods, as well as continuing to remain on the cutting edge of the latest fashions whilst supporting small and local producers.

“We have recently experienced a positive period of growth after an extensive period of uncertainty in high street retail and felt now was the perfect time for us to expand to a larger premises.

“Our new space on Bridge Street is situated in a prime location and is across the road from the new restaurant and hotel development at Please to Meet You.

“The move will put us in a more prominent position and will allow us to experience greater footfall- which has been largely generated by an increasing number of tourists to the town. The future is bright for Morpeth, and we are determined to play our part in a vibrant high street.

“We are also hoping to begin hosting wine tasting nights in the shop to generate further business and interest in our brand, all while creating a really atmospheric experience for our customers.”
