This week’s round up of London appointments includes FRP, MAC Construction & DoubleVerify. Read on to find out more.
John Potts, FRP
Specialist business advisory firm FRP has appointed John Potts as a partner in its business development team.
John has more than 25 years’ experience and joins from one of the UK’s leading asset recovery specialists, where he was a director. He has also held several senior business development roles within the financial services sector, having worked at firms including HSBC and Kroll (previously Duff & Phelps).
Throughout his career, John has advised banks, borrowers and asset-based lenders across the UK’s mid-market, and in his new role he will work closely with FRP’s growing restructuring advisory team to seek out new business opportunities and to help develop existing client relationships.
He will also support the corporate finance and debt advisory teams at FRP Corporate Finance, helping to grow the firm’s client base. He will be based in the firm’s London office.
Commenting on his appointment, John said: “Having spent most of my career in the financial services sector, I’ve long been aware of FRP and the brilliant work the team does. FRP is going from strength to strength and it’s a great time to be joining as there is a real opportunity to support the firm’s continued growth journey.”
Jeremy French, Chief Operating Officer at FRP, added: “As we grow, it’s vital that we don’t lose sight of this and I’m confident that with his track record of developing long-lasting partnerships, John will be a real asset to the firm.”
Nicolas Maari, MAC Construction
MAC Construction Consultants has strengthened its national Public Sector offering with the appointment of experienced Project Manager, Nicolas Maari.
Joining the firm with immediate effect as a Director of Employers Agent and Design Services, and based out of London, he brings more than 15 years’ experience to the role having worked for several large national and international design and consultancy practices.
His arrival follows a strong couple of years of growth for the business, which continued to secure major private and public sector contracts despite the difficulties brought about by the pandemic.
Commenting on his new role Nicolas, who has an advanced Diploma in Architecture and is a Chartered member of RIBA, said: “I’m excited to be joining MAC, which has truly established itself as a market leader in the delivery of major public and private sector developments over the past few years.”
Matt added: “Nicolas is a brilliant addition to our London-based Public Sector team. There is much emphasis now on the role that the building industry will play across public sector projects following the Covid crisis and the recent reveal of the ‘levelling up’ whitepaper.”
