This week's Yorkshire appointments

This week’s round up of Yorkshire appointments includes Chatter Communications, Emsleys & Iridium. Read on to find out more.

Aliai Canetti, Chloe Chapman, Chloe Chapman & Harry Milton, Chatter Communications

Chatter Communications has made three new appointments and promoted a long-standing member of the team to the board.

Leeds-based employer brand agency Chatter has promoted Harry Milton to the board position Head of Projects. Harry was the agency’s first employee, joining as an account executive straight from university nine years ago and has progressed through the ranks as an account manager and digital projects manager. He will now become the sixth member of the Chatter board.

Three new appointments have also been made to the wider Chatter team, taking the headcount at the agency to 25. Chatter works with organisations such as Morrisons, Yorkshire Building Society, O2 and the NHS, to help them attract, recruit and retain the very best talent.

Joining the team as an account manager Aliai Canetti brings with her experience in digital and retail marketing. Chloe Chapman has joined the team as a junior copywriter and Eilis Buggy has taken up a role as account executive, working across various accounts.

Paul Ainley, managing director at Chatter Communications, said: “We were all absolutely delighted to be able to promote Harry to the board, and it’s very well deserved. It’s been a pleasure to see him develop since 2013 when he first joined us, just two years after the company launched.”

Jane Harrison, Anna Barnard & Poppy Walker, Emsleys

Emsleys welcomes returning colleague, Jane Harrison, to the Personal Injury team, Anna Barnard to the Family Law team and Poppy Walker joining Wills & Probate.

Jane says, “Returning to Emsleys has been a great move for me. I am part of an excellent and knowledgeable team, and after one month back, I feel like I have never been away. I really enjoy working for such a reputable and dedicated firm and feel I am here to stay this time!”

Associate solicitor, Anna Barnard, has joined the busy family team at Emsleys earlier in this year. Anna, a Polish national and fluent in the language, completed her LLB Law degree as well as the Legal Practice Course at Huddersfield University.

Anna says ‘I am delighted to further my career at Emsleys. Creating a great place to work is the difference between a good company and a great company, and I am proud to be an employee of a latter.’

Finally, Poppy Walker joins our Wills & Probate team. Poppy qualified as a Solicitor in 2020 with another firm before recently moving back to her home county of Yorkshire to continue her career with Emsleys.

Poppy adds ‘I am really looking forward to specialising in an area that I have always enjoyed in my career so far and am already enjoying working with my colleagues and clients at Emsleys who have made it so easy to settle in.’

Ray Gearing & Mike Rogers, Iridium

The Leeds-based IT transformation consultancy adds two new specialist practices to its portfolio of services, to be led by IT industry experts, Ray Gearing and Mike Rogers, as the business continues to experience significant growth.

Ray Gearing, who joined Iridium in June as Delivery Practice Lead, has worked in IT for over 30 years, most recently in consulting roles for leading institutions such as Lloyds Banking Group, HSBC and Vanquis Bank. Ray will set up the firm’s Delivery Practice to sit alongside Iridium’s expanding range of services, seeing him build and evolve new digital transformation capabilities for the firm.

Joining Ray is Delivery Practice Lead, Mike Rogers, former Program Director at Medical Protection Society. He has also occupied Head of Technical Projects and Consulting Manager roles at TransUnion and Deloitte respectively and will bring extensive experience in regulatory compliance to his new role at Iridium.

Mike comments: “I can’t wait to start building Iridium’s regulatory and compliance capability, whilst leaning in to support the growth of the wider business with new and improved ways of working. The business has a network of some of the best people in the industry, so I jumped at the opportunity to be part of its future.”

Ray adds: “I’m looking forward to building something new at Iridium. That’s not to say that there won’t be challenges ahead given the current market. Whilst being buoyant, there is uncertainty at the moment, so the task at hand will be to focus on the right things at the right time for our clients.”
