Willmott Dixon Interiors expands into new Leeds office

Willmott Dixon Interiors has continued its expansion in West Yorkshire with a move to a new office in the centre of Leeds. Willmott Dixon’s national fit-out and refurbishment specialist has invested in new office space at 7 Park Row, a short distance from City Square and Leeds Railway Station.

The new premises will be shared by the interiors and construction arms of the business, further strengthening the contractor’s regional capability and providing a seamless offering to its customers.

It is Willmott Dixon’s second office in South Yorkshire, complementing its existing base at Willmott Dixon House in Morley. Willmott Dixon Interiors employs more than 300 people nationally, of which nearly 80 operate between its regional offices in Leeds and Birmingham.

The firm has won a series of major fit out and refurbishment projects for public and private sector customers in West Yorkshire. They include the transformation of two levels of Quarry House in central Leeds and refurbishment of 48,300 sq ft of office space across five storeys of Wellington House on behalf of West Yorkshire Combined Authority.

More recently Willmott Dixon Interiors was chosen to deliver the £3.6m transformation of Leeds Bus Station, which is set to be completed this summer. The contractor has committed to an ongoing programme of local community engagement alongside its delivery of core projects, with a particular focus on employment, skills and the environment.

Activities have included multiple virtual work experience programmes with local schools and colleges, and a tailored programme for inmates at HMP New Hall as part of its efforts to encourage more women into the construction industry.

Volunteers from Willmott Dixon Interiors also planted 720 trees in Bramley this year in support of Leeds City Council’s plans to combat the climate emergency. The contractor’s industry leading sustainability strategy, Now or Never, sets a target to plant 100,000 trees nationally by 2030.

Phil Crowther, regional director for Willmott Dixon Interiors, said: “We’re very pleased to have secured new premises in a prominent location in the heart of Leeds. We have enjoyed sustainable growth in West Yorkshire through the successful delivery of a series of complex and high profile refurbishment projects and a new regional headquarters will provide the platform to continue our development.

“Our success has been underpinned by excellent working relationships with our consultants and supply chain partners, and by placing the customer at the heart of everything we do. Having colocated office facilities allows us to provide a fully one-stop service to our customers, bringing the very best interiors and construction expertise together.”
