Milestone Contract Win for Leep Utilities
Leep Utilities has been awarded its 200th contract. Persimmon Homes Wessex has engaged the multi-utility network owner and operator to adopt the water supplies for its Victoria Road development in Warminster, Wiltshire.
Leep Utilities will be adopting the clean and wastewater services for the 1000 plot development, which is located on the 207-hectare West Warminster Urban Extension site. The project is due to start later this year with first connections in 2023.
Since launching in 2017, Leep Utilities has enjoyed substantial growth, expanding its nationwide network from its MediaCityUK headquarters to a Reading-based office in support of its increasing portfolio across the Southeast.
Leep Utilities works with many of the UK’s housebuilders and developers – including Taylor Wimpey, and Urban Splash - to help deliver the Government’s target 300,000 new homes per year, to meet the UK’s new housing requirements.
Louise Manfredi, Managing Director of Leep Utilities, said: “Since we first started delivering straightforward utilities connections throughout the UK just five years ago, we’ve enjoyed phenomenal growth and we’re delighted to reach this milestone.
“Our working practices – such as adopting new development utility networks in return for Asset Value payments to the developer or Independent Connection Provider calculated based upon the revenues we will generate - really help to reduce construction costs for housebuilders. This, of course, makes us a popular last mile utility network partner for many of them, as well as for industrial and commercial developers.
“We’re recognised for our knowledge and skill to operate regulated water and wastewater net-works and this latest contract, which takes our total tally to 200, is testament to this.”
