Three cheers as 'The Garden Bar' opens in Stratford town centre
A new ‘garden bar’ has opened in the grounds of a boutique Stratford-upon-Avon hotel.
Serving refreshing cocktails, wine, gin and more, The Garden Bar provides a new hideaway for revellers to soak up the sun and relax with a drink in the historic town centre.
The bar is located within the grounds of The Arden Hotel, on Waterside, and has been launched so more guests can make the most of the hotel’s beautiful outdoor space and landscaped garden overlooking the River Avon and RSC theatres, as temperatures rise over the summer.
General Manager Josefine Blomqvist said: “There’s lots on offer already at The Arden with our award-winning 2 AA Rosette restaurant No.44 Brasserie, but this brings something completely new.
“We have such lovely gardens and with the summer weather in full swing, we thought this would be the perfect new addition for those looking for a relaxing drink in the town.
“The summer is always a key period of tourism for both us and Stratford, but with Warwickshire also playing host to some of the Commonwealth Games events, we will hopefully see a knock-on effect here in Stratford too, and look forward to having visitors to our new bar.”
The Garden Bar also includes a new garden seating area with parasols for visitors to relax with refreshments.
It forms a busy time for the hotel, which is part of The Eden Hotel Collection, having recently seen the first phase of refurbishment complete and the arrival of new head chef Lee Cresswell.
Josefine added: “The Arden is going through a lot of exciting changes at the moment so we’re delighted to see The Garden Bar now launch to the public as well.”
