QPR in the Community Trust announce Roy Ledgister as new Trustee

QPR in the Community Trust has officially appointed Roy Ledgister, founder and CEO of Convivia, as a new Trustee following a Board meeting held at Loftus Road.

This announcement comes just weeks after Convivia signed a three-year deal with QPR Football Club as Sole Principal Partner and front of shirt sponsor and represents a fitting move for Ledgister, who is not only a lifelong QPR fan but is also committed to driving social change through the Convivia brand.

Having grown up in the local Shepherd’s Bush area and attended Cardinal Vaughan Memorial School, Ledgister has dedicated a vast amount of his life to the area, where his appointment to the QPR Trust will enable him to support and give back to the community in which he grew up.

With an impressive background in Law, Business and Property, Ledgister mobilised Convivia in 2017 with a clear vision to transform the lives of low-income tenants through luxury, affordable accommodation.

Now working closely with Local Authorities and established Housing Associations across the country, the brand is committed to ensuring its Homes become synonymous with positive change, while benefitting the wider community in which they are situated.

Welcoming Ledgister to the Board, Andy Evans, CEO of QPR in the Community Trust, said: “I am delighted and excited to be welcoming Roy as a Trustee of QPR FC’s charitable arm – QPR in the Community Trust. Roy’s story is an inspirational one which will benefit the Trust and more importantly inspire those we serve in west London. Roy’s experience, knowledge and skills will be a great addition to the Board of Trustees which will no doubt benefit QPR in the Community Trust for years to come.”

Discussing his appointment as Trustee, Roy Ledgister added: “I am truly honoured to be appointed as the latest Trustee of QPR in the Community Trust. Not only am I a passionate QPR fan, but having grown up in Shepherd’s Bush, I am fully committed to supporting and giving back to the local community. I now look forward to working with the Board and in making a positive difference wherever possible.”

Established in 2009, QPR in the Community Trust is committed to addressing the local needs and making a difference to individuals in local communities, across seven London boroughs.

Working with more than 80 schools across the area, the Trust delivers high-quality physical education lessons to over 23,000 participants each year and engages with 300 people with disabilities on a weekly basis.
