Jet2 increases flying to France from Manchester in response to the Rugby World Cup
Jet2.com and Jet2CityBreaks have added more flights and city breaks to Nice in September 2023 from Manchester Airport, in response to rugby fans looking to travel to the French Riviera capital to watch the Rugby World Cup.
The leisure airline has stepped in to meet demand from sports fans looking to watch the Rugby World Cup in Nice by adding extra services from September 8 to 25, 2023. Extra Monday and Friday services have been put on sale from the base, meaning two daily services are on sale to Nice on these days between these dates.
The addition of the new services to Nice are “perfectly timed” for fans looking to head to the Allianz Riviera stadium to watch the tournament unfold and means Jet2.com and Jet2CityBreaks are offering up to five weekly services to the destination during the Rugby World Cup.
Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, commented: “Customers have been flocking to book Summer 23 fights and city breaks, with Nice being a very popular holiday choice for next year.
“The Rugby World Cup is a major sporting event, so it is not surprising that we are seeing strong demand from customers in the North West looking to head to Nice to watch the tournament.
“As always, we have been quick to respond to this demand and have added extra services to Nice from Manchester Airport, which are perfectly timed for fans wanting to travel to the French city to watch the matches.
“With the Rugby World Cup being a highlight in the sporting calendar, we are confident that fans will not want to miss out and these additional services will be popular with fans in the North West looking to experience the tournament live.
“On top of that, this provides even more choice and flexibility when it comes to reaching the magic of the French Riviera.”
