Wembley Park regeneration scheme proves “extremely popular” with first-time buyers
Local developer Barratt London is celebrating the success of its Wembley development, No. 10 Watkin Road, with only two available apartments remaining.
The site comes to completion just two years after it first came to the market, with all residents expected to be handed their keys before the end of the month.
Part of the “landmark” 85-acre regeneration scheme at Wembley Park, No. 10 Watkin Road has proven to be “extremely popular” amongst first time buyers thanks to its affordability and the availability of London Help to Buy.
With Wembley increasingly dominated by the build-to-rent market, Barratt London claims to have “struck gold” in providing an opportunity for buyers to purchase property where they may have struggled previously.
No. 10 Watkin Road has delivered 229 high-quality homes rising to 23 storeys and featuring five rooftop podium gardens, each providing skyline views across the capital.
Residents benefit from the service of both the Jubilee and Metropolitan lines at Wembley Park Underground Stations, whilst the North Circular is less than a ten-minute drive away, providing “easy access” to both central London and further afield.
Pam Reardon, sales and marketing director for Barratt East London, said: “It’s not surprising that sales have been so buoyant at No. 10 Watkin Road, as Wembley has so much to offer new buyers.
“Residents can live the ultimate urban lifestyle close to the thriving entertainment scene and bustling Boxpark, with everything you could need located within a one-mile radius of the development.
“The flourishing tourist economy of the area also helps to provide a strong economic foundation, which has only been enhanced by the funds invested into the area’s regeneration.”
With the curtain closing on No. 10 Watkin Road, Barratt London is now looking ahead to its new Wembley site, developed in partnership with Transport for London (TfL).
The 454-home scheme, which will be car-free for residents with the exception of blue badge parking, was given the green light earlier this year and will provide 1,238 sq ft of flexible retail space, as well as new operational workspace for London Underground.
