Oxfordshire’s Bee House abuzz thanks to new “premium” co-working space

Oxfordshire’s largest flexible workspace, the Bee House, has opened its doors to its new Honeycomb co-working area, offering the perfect solution for those missing the buzz of an office.

MP David Johnston visited Milton Park to officially open the building back in May with a number of companies moving in to set up their hives. Now individuals, small groups and freelancers can access the “premium quality” facility through its Honeycomb co-working memberships, designed to suit a range of needs and working preferences.

Benefits available under all memberships include unlimited refreshments, superfast connectivity, mail handling and printer usage as well as proximity and full-time access to the “fun and vibrant” Hive Café, now the largest on the Park, serving daily hot and cold food and drink, cakes and snacks.

Additionally, MEPC Milton Park has appointed specialist property company Ashdown Phillips as customer services manager to oversee incoming enquiries, welcome new members, manage meeting room and conference room bookings and create an “exceptional working environment”.

This appointment follows their continuing successful operation of Milton Park’s Innovation Centre at 99 Park Drive for more than five years.

On top of its new co-working area, the Bee House offers a range of small and medium-sized flexible office spaces, ranging from 97 to 2,574 sq ft as well as a 145-seat conference facility, phone booths and meeting rooms available to hire, offering a real breadth of flexibility.

Nikki Gibson, senior associate director - head of flexible workspaces at Ashdown Phillips, said: “From conversations we’ve been having, it’s clear people see the value of having the flexibility to collaborate with their colleagues and other companies, while also having a range of facilities under one roof.

“Lots of hard work has gone into the Bee House, producing a state-of-the-art facility that we’re really proud of and will give companies and individuals the space to take flight. “We couldn’t be more excited to be running the flexible workspace and would like to thank Milton Park for giving us the opportunity to do so.”

Philip Campbell, commercial director at MEPC Milton Park, added: “We’re delighted that the Bee House Honeycomb co-working area is now officially open and with the new team in place, led by Nikki as Queen Bee, we’re very confident that people joining the community will be in safe hands.”
