Brentford East regeneration project sees new residential development amid “high market demand”
Build-to-rent residential management company Apo has announced the completion of its second development, located in Kew Bridge.
Designed to accommodate the “many lifestyle demands of modern city living”, Apo Kew Bridge delivers “generously-sized, stylish” apartments along with a full package of bespoke, responsive resident amenities and services, meeting the burgeoning demand for urban renting.
Wrapped around the Gtech Community Stadium, home to Brentford FC and rugby union’s London Irish, Apo Kew Bridge sits at the heart of the Brentford East regeneration project, a “vibrant” West London neighbourhood which houses a growing community of high-street retailers, cafés and restaurants, just moments from Kew Bridge station.
On matchdays, residents are said to have a bird’s-eye view of the Premier League football action on display at the 17,250-seater sports venue just next door.
The development provides 487 rental homes across four buildings, consisting of studio flats, and one, two, and three-bedroom apartments, available both unfurnished and furnished by Danish-inspired contemporary furniture design company BoConcept.
Shared facilities across the site include The Local, a space equipped for both “co-working and no-working”, complete with meeting areas, group tables, office pods, cosy seating and room to relax, as well as The Nest, a quiet lounge space, “state-of-the-art” wellness Studio, gym, and several large rooftop terrace spaces.
Matt Finch, director at Apo, commented: ’’We are delighted to announce the full completion of our second rental scheme at Kew Bridge.
“Following the successful launch of our first site in Barking, we are proud to have created 1,082 new build-to-rent homes in London over the past two years, responding to the high market demand while maintaining even higher expectations for quality and intuitive living services.
“We look forward to continuing to welcome new members into the community lifestyle on offer at Apo Kew Bridge.’’
Investment in the UK build-to-rent market grew by 11 per cent in the first half of 2022. The fact that the company’s first build-to-rent development, Apo Barking, a community of 595 studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments was fully let 8 months ahead of target is evidence of this positive momentum in the BTR sector.
Demand for homes in Apo Barking continues to out-strip supply. Following these lettings results, 60 per cent of apartments released in the first phase of Apo Kew Bridge were let within eight week of its launch in November 2021.
