Gateshead hydraulics company outgrows premises in record year of growth
Hyserve provides a range of hydraulics services to the North East’s manufacturing and marine industries including bespoke system design, on site installation, maintenance, and consultancy.
A record-breaking year of growth for the North East company, operating from their base at Team Valley Trading Estate in Gateshead, has led to an urgent need to move to larger premises to accommodate growing staff numbers, larger projects and increasing manufacturing capability.
The hydraulics company, formed in 2020, has outgrown its start-up premises and signed a lease with asset managers Mileway to take over an 11000 sqm premises at Station Lane Industrial Estate in Birtley. The negotiation, handled by North East Industrial Property Specialists, HTA Real Estate reaffirms Hyserve’s commitment to become the largest hydraulics service provider in the region.
The new premises will give Hyserve the largest dedicated hydraulic servicing facility in the region and allow the company to complete larger-scale projects whilst continuing to serve its existing manufacturing and marine, oil & gas customers with rapid proximity hydraulic services.
Jerome Dardillac, managing director of Hyserve, shared his expectations for the new premises, “It will give us the space we need to continue to increase staff numbers with more local expertise and continue to improve and increase our in-house manufacturing capacity. We’re really excited about it.”
Edward Harriman, junior asset manager at Mileway said, “we are pleased to welcome our first tenant into the newly refurbished units at Station Lane Industrial Estate, Birtley. We are delighted that our high-quality industrial space has been chosen by Hyserve for their continued growth.”
The move follows closely behind the company being awarded funding from the European Regional Development Fund to part-finance the purchase of a brand new Walform Hydraulic Tube Forming Machine as part of Hyserve’s strategy to bring more hydraulic services in-house and within the region.
The new premises in Birtley will have dedicated welding and fabrication, pipe bending, hose manufacturing, assembly, pressure testing and flushing areas, making it one of the most well-equipped hydraulic manufacturing and servicing facilities in the North East.
Simon Hill, director at HTA Real Estate who successfully negotiated the lease on Mileway’s behalf, said, “we are very pleased to have agreed terms with Hyserve and wish them many years of continued growth and success from their new home in our beloved North East.”
