New Regus workspace opens in Stockton-on-Tees
A new Regus flexible workspace is opening in the recently refurbished Fast Track House in Stockton-on-Tees, enabling workers to work closer to home and cut their commute while enjoying the benefits of a flexible workspace.
The workspace offers over 2000 sq.m of workspace with marina views, air conditioning and energy efficient windows. In a prime location less than a five-minute walk away from Thornaby Train Station, and on-site parking spaces for 120 vehicles with two electric car charging points, makes it perfect for both workers on the road looking for a drop-in office and those who live close by, looking to reduce their commute.
IWG’s new Regus location is well-positioned for workers to take breaks or switch off at the end of the day with walks around locations such as Harewood Pleasure Gardens and along the River Tees. It is also within walking distance of Castlegate Shopping Centre and nearby food and drink outlets.
IWG’s footfall data for the first half of 2022 shows a rise of people working from IWG locations up 33 per cent in June 2022 compared to January 2022 - with more people choosing to work locally rather than commuting long distances into central city centres.
IWG, the world’s largest flexible workspace company with brands including Spaces and Regus, is further expanding to meet this demand, by opening a state-of-the-art co-working space in Stockton-on-Tees.
The shared workspace is distributed across three floors offering office space, a new design business lounge, 12 co-working spaces, three meeting rooms and virtual office services available. It provides the ideal balance of flexible workspaces for collaborating with others and areas for workers to get their heads down when needed.
Demand for new workspaces in locations outside of city centres has shown strong growth in 2022, with the number of enquiries for space in IWG locations continuing to increase with a 36 per cent rise since January.
Mark Dixon, CEO & founder of IWG, commented: “For several decades, we have been at the forefront of hybrid work, empowering people to work more productively and conveniently. More and more workers want to live in a 15 Minute City, where everything they need, including where they work, is within 15 minutes of their home. Locations like Regus Stockton-on-Tees are a response to that demand.
“Its close proximity to local stations, amenities and also being able to offer parking facilities for workers on the road, makes it a prime location for those needing a quick stop, as well as those from surrounding suburban towns who may be less enticed by the journey into the city centre”.
