Flexible working and hospitality destination set to launch amid “major” Bromley regeneration

Flexible workspace provider Clockwise has announced its much anticipated second London location will be opening its doors on September 12, as part of a “major regeneration” of Bromley Old Town Hall.

Unveiling a new flexible working and hospitality destination for Bromley, the development seeks to bring further investment into the area and a new lease of life into the “much-loved” historic local landmark.

Clockwise parent company Castleforge will be the lead landlord for Bromley Old Town Hall. Its offering will include flexible workspaces from Clockwise, Dorothy and Marshall, an all-day dining restaurant and bar which is set to open in Autumn, and Brama, a 24-room boutique hotel set to open shortly afterwards.

Spanning over 62,000 sq ft, the new site will be Clockwise’s largest yet and will consist of a range of spaces to support Bromley’s burgeoning business hub with dedicated offices, private desks, a podcast room, members’ lounge, café, and terrace.

Originally built in 1907, with further additions in 1939, the part-Grade II listed building had been vacant for more than a decade and was recently added to the Heritage at Risk register in 2009 before Castleforge took on the lead tenancy.

The building has been “sensitively restored” by leading architect Cartwright Pickard, and designers Fusion Interiors Group. The design concept takes inspiration from the building’s past while bringing it into the 21st century. The facilities are designed to support the trend toward new working patterns, accelerated by the pandemic.
