This week’s round up of London appointments includes Cornerstone FS plc, Rangeford Villages & Lichfields. Read on to find out more.
James Hickman, Cornerstone FS plc
Cornerstone FS plc (AIM: CSFS), the cloud-based provider of international payment, currency risk management and electronic account services to SMEs, announces the appointment of James Hickman as Chief Executive Officer. James is serving out his notice with his current employer and so his appointment will take effect on 12 September 2022.
James has over 19 years’ experience within the payments industry. Most recently, James was Chief Revenue Officer at Dublin-based fintech business, Fire Financial Services Ltd. Previously, James spent nearly five years as Chief Commercial Officer at AIM-quoted Equals plc.
Prior to that he was Managing Director at a privately held card & payments business, Caxton FX Ltd. In each role, James was responsible for growing sales, operations and managing key relationships. At Equals, his role also included investor relations, fundraising and strategic acquisitions.
Commenting on the appointment, Cornerstone chairman, Elliott Mannis, said: “James brings a wealth of industry experience and excellent strategic and leadership skills to Cornerstone, and I am delighted that he will be our new Chief Executive Officer. He has impressed the Board with his clarity of vision, breadth of knowledge and his strong client-centric mindset.”

I see great potential in the business from its proprietary technology to its regulatory permissions. Amanda Valentine-Bunce & Ryan Fairbairn, Rangeford Villages
Rangeford Villages, the award-winning later living specialist, has further strengthened its Senior Leadership Team with the appointment of Amanda Valentine-Bunce as Head of Marketing and Ryan Fairbairn as Managing Director for Rangeford Developments.
Amanda brings a wealth of experience from previous senior marketing roles, having worked for 10 years within the luxury private pay care sector for Berkley Care Group and having 20 years’ experience as a Director within creative agencies. Her responsibilities will include driving brand engagement and developing creative marketing strategies to deliver both on and offline content.
Fellow new starter, Ryan has over 20 years’ experience in property, development, and construction. Prior to joining Rangeford, Ryan spent 3 years as Development Director at EQUANS UK & Ireland where he was responsible for the establishment and implementation of their residential development growth strategy.
Previously, Ryan was a Board Director at market leading student accommodation provider, UPP, where over a 10-year period he was instrumental in securing and delivering a number of high-profile developments across the UK.
Commenting on their appointments, Howard Nankivell, CEO at Rangeford Villages said: “Both have a wealth of experience in their specialist fields and a proven track record of delivery, which will be integral as we continue with our ambitious plans to develop and grow our retirement community portfolio of high quality later living accommodation.”
Pippa Nisbet, Lichfields
Planning and development consultancy Lichfields has appointed a new planning director as it continues to grow its operations across London and the South East of England.
At Lichfields, Pippa Nisbet will focus on supporting delivery of strategic-scale residential-led projects, alongside urban redevelopment projects in the residential and commercial sectors. She will advise a variety of clients and manage a planning team whilst helping with new business initiatives.
Pippa Nisbet said about her appointment: “I’m relishing this fresh challenge as a key part of a large, dedicated planning consultancy team, leading on a wide range of interesting projects.”
Senior director and head of the London office Matthew Spry, said: “With strong track record of delivering complex development projects across London and the South East, Pippa will be a valuable addition to our expanding London office, which continues to perform strongly off the back of a diverse, high quality client base and exciting portfolio of clients.”
