This week's national appointments
This week’s round up of national appointments includes Censornet, Primas Law and CCW. Read on to find out more.
Gareth Lockwood, Censornet
Autonomous Integrated Cloud Security provider Censornet has announced the appointment of Gareth Lockwood as VP of products. In this role, Lockwood will lead Censornet’s Go-To-Market (GTM) product strategy. He joins the senior leadership team and reports to CEO, Ed Macnair.
Gareth joins Censornet from CyberHive where he was Head of Product. In this role, he developed the product GTM & commercial strategy, whilst ensuring the sales team had every tool available to communicate the value of the products.
Prior to this, Lockwood’s background includes engineering and pre-sales solutions architecture, product management, commercial operations and sales-led leadership at NortonLifeLock and Symantec.
Gareth said: “I relish being at the cutting edge of innovation, whether that be product development or sales strategy. I join Censornet at a pivotal point in the company’s journey as it builds out its autonomous security platform,” says Lockwood.
“Censornet’s platform is particularly attractive right now as it delivers on so many of the challenges and risks associated with widespread staff shortages and churn, such as unified configuration and policy management,incident response, and compliance.”
Ed Macnair, CEO at Censornet, added: “Gareth is a highly experienced product leader with a proven track record of delivering GTM product strategies at companies like Symantec. His experience and vision will help fire Censornet forward as we strive to ensure that companies around the world can benefit from our cybersecurity platform.”
Alexia Savar, Fatima Iqbal and Lawrence Isaac: Primas Law
Boutique commercial law firm Primas Law, has announced three new hires across the firm in line with its ambitious growth strategy for 2022. The announcement comes shortly after a flurry of recent hires for the firm across a variety of departments and seniority levels.
Alexia Savar joins the team as an Insolvency litigator and Fatima Iqbal and Lawrence Isaac join as paralegals in their Corporate and Commercial and Construction and Projects teams respectively. The recent announcement will see the firm add further talent and expertise to its growing teams, ensuring it continues to offer quality legal advice to its client base.
Alexia Savar has joined the firm’s Corporate Recoveries and Insolvency department and is based in the Manchester office. With experience in the fields of dispute resolution, debt recovery, insolvency and commercial litigation, she joins the team as an Insolvency Litigator.
Fatima Iqbal joins as a paralegal in the Corporate and Commercial team, boasting significant experience working for multinational clients and a distinction in her LLM in International Commercial Law.
Lawrence Isaac has joined Primas Law as a Paralegal in the Construction and Projects team and will work alongside David Vayro, furthering Primas’s rapidly expanding construction practice. The firm has also announced the promotion of Jonathan Herd to Trainee Solicitor in their Real Estate department.
Adam Kerr, managing partner of Primas Law said: “These quality new team members, along with some excellent client wins and marquee instructions, mean that we’ve had a great start to the financial year. We’ve an exciting year ahead.”
Phil Mitchell and Sam Slater, CCW
Manchester based creative production business, CCW, has expanded its tech team even further with two new hires. Included in the new hire lineup is Phil Mitchell, a former photographer and architecture student from Liverpool John Moores who joins as its newly appointed 3D capture technical lead.
For over seven years Phil (pictured above) was a senior scanning technician responsible for developing the in-house studio for Sofology, one of the largest sofa and furniture retailers in the UK.
Phil will bring his unique approach to 3D capture to the team, by applying his former knowledge within photography, 3D visualisation, photogrammetry 3D laser capture and specialised understanding of Metrology grade scanning. He’ll help improve efficiencies and keep CCW at the forefront of the industry.
Phil said: There’s so much talent across the team and I can’t wait to see what we can do together “to make things faster, more efficient and improve the quality even further. In terms of my personal development, it feels like there’s room for me to grow and I already feel like a valuable member of the team.”
Another new addition to CCW’s tech department is Sam Slater who joins CCW’s impressive tech roster as their Unreal Engine Developer. With a background in VR software development, specialising in Unity and Unreal Engine.
He brings with him almost a decade of experience coding and programming (Cloud, front-end, full-stack and hardware). Sam will now bring that wealth of experience to CCW’s tech team to help them to build more amazing products over the next 12 months.
He added: “I’m really excited to be joining a bigger company that seems set for great things. From Day 1, I can tell there are ambitious plans here and I’m excited to be part of that journey. I’m looking forward to being part of the community and having a more varied role - one that’s not confined to a specific technical area.”
