Scarborough Athletic FC dives into new season with Yorkshire Water Park sponsorship

North Yorkshire Water Park recently hosted Scarborough Athletic FC for a day of team building activities to celebrate the renewal of its club sponsorship.

The footballers swapped their boots for wet suits and dove headfirst into a day of activities at the Scarborough hotspot. The team began their day by taking on the “fierce” Warrior Aqua Park, the latest addition to North Yorkshire Water Park.

Putting their competitive natures to the test, the team then went head-to-head in a “giant” SUP race, splitting into two teams to see who could work together and navigate the lake’s water the most effectively.

A spokesperson noted: “This was not only physically demanding but also helped build vital communication skills, which will prove vital when they’re back on the pitch together.”

Afterwards the team cooled off in the Café @ NYWP to sample a range of treats from stone baked pizza to ice cream and other snacks.

Rhiannon Hunt, marketing and commercial officer of Scarborough Athletic FC commented on the partnership: “We’re very thankful for the continued support shown by North Yorkshire Water Park, sponsoring the club for a number of years now.

“The team couldn’t have asked for a more enjoyable day out and they all had a great time at the waterpark enjoying all of the amazing activities on offer. The team had fun whilst developing teambuilding and communication skills, which will pay dividends on the pitch this season.”

Gareth Davies, general manager at North Yorkshire Water Park, added: “We’re delighted to renew our sponsorship for another year and invite the lads down to enjoy a team day out. As a local business ourselves, we think it’s really important to support other teams and businesses within the area, where we can.

“With all of our new facilities and expansions, it’s the perfect place to host large groups such as football teams or corporate away days and really put them through their paces! We look forward to supporting Scarborough Athletic in what we hope is another successful season.”
