Annual jobs fair returns to Metrocentre Gateshead with “over 100 jobs” available
The annual Jobs Fair is set to return to the Metrocentre as the retail and leisure destination begins to prepare for the festive season.
Those looking for a new challenge can meet prospective employers and have the opportunity to demonstrate their skills and attributes face to face, unlike many standard online application forms.
H beauty, Odeon, New Look, Hotel Chocolat, Primark, Victoria’s Secret and Bella Italia are just a few names already signed up, with more registering daily.
Gavin Prior, Metrocentre centre director, commented: “Metrocentre is a destination that offers shopping, dining and leisure attractions, and as such the range of jobs on offer is wide and varied.
“We’ve had some fantastic additions to the malls this year with H Beauty from Harrods and regional flagships for JD and H&M HOME, so there really is something for everyone.
“The job market is a competitive one right now so it’s great that we can offer additional perks such as free parking and staff discounts available in over 80 of our stores.
“It is anticipated that over 100 jobs will be available across the centre so we’re encouraging job hunters to come along and meet us, and you never know you might find the perfect role for you.”
Interested candidates are being instructed to bring along a printed CV on the day and to keep an eye on the Metrocentre website and social media channels for further updates.
The Jobs Fair will take place at Metrocentre on Friday September 16 and Saturday September 17 in Exhibition Square near Primark. A further event will be held on Friday October 14 and on Saturday October 15 on the first floor of Town Square above H beauty.
