“State-of-the-art” Oxford office opened by international engineering consultancy
International mechanical, electrical, and acoustics consultancy CPW has opened a new office in Oxford following several big project wins and positions on major university frameworks, strengthening and evolving its relationships across the region.
Having previously relied upon design resources in its London and Midlands based offices to deliver projects across Oxfordshire, the consultancy has now shown its commitment to meeting client needs in the area by setting down roots.
The new office, located on Woodstock Road, close to the University Science District, is led by director Carl Standley and associate director Jonathan Pollard.
Carl commented: “Having always had a strong connection to Oxfordshire in terms of well-established clients and businesses in the construction industry, we were delighted to secure positions on the University of Oxford’s Capital Projects and Carbon Reduction frameworks.
“Strengthening relationships over the last two years, through some testing economic periods, meant that the next natural step was to make a full commitment to the region with a new base here.
The new office will help CPW deliver on several existing and upcoming projects in the area, including a “state-of-the-art” Institute of Global Health for the University of Oxford, an extensive decarbonisation study for St John’s College and a specialist workshop building and teaching block at Oxford Brookes University’s Headington Hill site.
The NHS trust also relies upon the expertise at CPW in a technical advisory capacity for its Churchill and John Radcliffe sites. The Oxford office is also delivering acoustic services in the region, a complementary discipline to the MEP consultancy, providing specialist advice on all aspects of noise, and vibration in the built environment.
Jonathan said: “Our success in the region will rely on the premise of building and sustaining strong relationships with clients, consultants, and contractors. A local presence will ensure we can be more reactive and continue to demonstrate professional skill, competence, and diligence.
“Our aspiration for the new office is to continue delivering on our already-strong pipeline of work in Oxford and the wider Oxfordshire region, as well as growing our client base. We have a growing team here and are actively looking for engineers at all levels that are seeking an opportunity to progress. We’re looking forward to what the future holds for us.”
