Broaden your horizons this Autumn with free events and workshops from BIPC Tees Valley
The Business & IP Centre Tees Valley will be encouraging local businesses to get together, network and learn from one another at a series of events and workshops this autumn.
Working alongside partners from across the region, the BIPC Tees Valley have teamed up with the FSB to launch a series of free networking events for businesses to attend.
Starting at the BIS in Hartlepool on Tuesday 18th October, the events will continue every fortnight, visiting Stockton and Middlesbrough Central Libraries on November 1 and November 15 respectively before rounding off the series at Redcar and Cleveland College on November 29. The free events will each allow businesses to benefit from face-to-face relationship building with new business associates, as well as access FSB and BIPC follow up services.
Paul Swalwell is the BIPC Tees Valley Business Engagement and Marketing Manager. He said: “This autumn promises to be a great opportunity for businesses from across the Tees Valley to take advantage of the array of free events, workshops and support available to them.”
Adding: “It is great to be working with the FSB (Federation of Small Business) to be able to put on these networking events. We all know that the business landscape is facing some challenges at the moment, and for small businesses investing their time and energy on making new contacts and leads is a wonderful way to grow their business and their profile.”
Development Manager for the FSB in the North East, Reshma Begum, is working with the BIPC to deliver these sessions. She said: “FSB is delighted to be working with the BIPC and partners across the Tees Valley to deliver this series of events for small business owners in their local area. With the current economic turmoil, mental health and wellbeing issues are at an all-time high so it’s incredibly important for business owners to be able to come together with their peers to share their views, learn from each other, and build a support network.”
The BIPC will also be hosting a series of free workshops throughout the autumn with leading businesses such as Inner City Digital, Harvey and Hugo and Natwest, scheduled to deliver sessions in-person and online.
Helen Zagrovic is the Director of Middlesbrough based web and SEO specialists, Inner City Digital. She said: “We are really looking forward to being able to support this programme of workshops and events. We regularly work with SMEs who are looking at trying to grow their business and the move to developing a better digital presence can be daunting. That’s why our workshop is all about how we can help support businesses plan and grow their digital strategy to capitalise on every opportunity available to them.”
The BIPC will also be hosting a free workshop at Darlington Business Summit on Friday 7 October at 10:30am in the Dolphin Centre on how to find funding for your business.
