North of England expansion for 'leading' green service provider
Leading green services provider, Nurture Landscapes Group, has completed the acquisition of grounds maintenance and landscaping business, Ray Skelton.
The family-owned Harrogate business, established in 1983, becomes Nurture Group’s fifth acquisition this financial year, and the fourth in the North of England.
With some significant contracts, including the US Airforce base at Menwith Hill and the Royal Army Foundation College in Harrogate, Ray Skelton will continue to operate from its Brackenwaith Farm base on the top of the Yorkshire Dales, given the unique geographical challenges it has become accustomed to.
Furthermore, it will continue to operate under the Ray Skelton brand until the end of October, when it will be integrated into the Nurture Group brand, and family. All of the management and operational teams will remain in place and supported by Head of Operations for the north west of England Andrew Williams
Nick Hills, COO - North England and Scotland for Nurture Group, said: “Ray Skelton has grown to be one of the largest horticultural service providers in North Yorkshire, and is responsible for many prestigious sites.
“It is a traditional family business, and like us carry those values throughout from the leadership team through to the guys working on the ground. We are excited to welcome everyone into the Nurture Group family, including a very experienced operation workforce of more than 25 operatives delivering exceptional standards on site in landscape construction and grounds maintenance.”
Stuart Skelton of Ray Skelton said: “Nurture Landscapes has a long and growing reputation in delivering the highest standards of landscaping and ground maintenance across the UK, which have not been compromised as the company has grown.
“Like ourselves, the culture is very strong, is steeped in tradition and family values and our portfolios and ethos make us the perfect partnership. We are all really looking forward to becoming part of the same family, while continuing to deliver exceptional service across Yorkshire and the North of England.”
