Dorset housebuilder helps Wimborne Town FC youth team “kick off” the season in style

Barratt Homes in Dorset is ensuring young footballers in Wimborne are dressed to impress for their games this season, with a brand-new kit.

The leading housebuilder, which is bringing new homes to Quarter Jack Park in the market town, is sponsoring Wimborne Town Wanderers Under 12s team, and the young players now have a new football strip, complete with the housebuilder’s logo.

Matt Williams, Wimborne Town Wanderers U12s Manager, is delighted to have the developer’s support. He said: “Thanks to Barratt Homes, all the kids can now come to their training sessions wearing the same kit, which is fantastic. I know they’ll be wearing it with pride.

“Having a sponsor will give the players added confidence and, with support from such a well-known brand, there will be a great bit of positivity surrounding the team. I’m extremely grateful to Barratt and hope this relationship can continue going forward.”

Barratt is committed to helping organisations in the communities in which it’s building, and the housebuilder wanted to ensure the young Dorset club was supported.

Anthony Dimmick, Barratt Homes Community Liaison Manager, said: “We always want to offer our help to local organisations and I’m thrilled that we’ve been able to provide this support to Wimborne Town Wanderers Under 12s.

“It’s been great to see the team in their new kits and we wish them all the best for this year’s football season.”

Wimborne Town FC, including its Youth Section, is fully committed to providing Grassroots football to children and young people in a safe and supportive environment, enabling them to develop both on and off the field and to enjoy the game.

Barratt Homes is building new homes across Dorset, including at Quarter Jack Park in Wimborne – an exclusive range of two- and three-bedroom homes in the traditional town.
