York restaurant and bar set to reopen with new look

Located on High Ousegate, in York city centre, the popular family-owned bar and restaurant Ate O’clock has been updated with new interiors. The doors opened on October 24, showcasing the renovation and the all-new lounge area, “Social 8 Lounge by Ate O’Clock”.

The restaurant boasts a completely new look, while the lounge area is very luxurious with dramatic lighting and a pastel pink bar!

Working with local suppliers is very important to owners Alex, Savas & Ali Adiguzel, who chose local interior designer Johnathon Morgan Design to completely redesign the space into an iconic, modern place for those dining and drinking. The majority of the original familiar staff will also return on the reopening.

“York is such an amazing city and we wanted to create a place for people to enjoy whether they live here or are visiting,” says Alex Adiguzel, Director of Ate O’Clock. “The hospitality industry has had a trickly couple of years and we wanted to start again with a completely new look and feel, fitting to just how much we love this business”.

“Food is obviously very important too, so a lot of time has been spent with the chefs, making sure the menus are delicious, relevant, and tempting. Same goes for the drinks, which have been created with a mixologist so they taste delicious and can be enjoyed with food or in the lounge area.”
