Hannah Elliot, Mediaworks
Mediaworks has appointed Hannah Elliott to lead its media planning and buying operations. The appointment further strengthens Mediaworks’ media services, and the growing demand from clients for an agency partner that offers fully integrated and optimised marketing solutions, from brand strategy through to aligned online and offline executions.
Hannah joins the award-winning agency with more than 17 years of broadcast and out of home experience with some of Scotland’s largest brands, managing multi-million-pound campaign budgets for clients across the public sector, education, retail and in tourism.
She will head up the media planning and buying division from Mediaworks’ Edinburgh base but will work with clients across the group’s locations in Leeds, Manchester and at its HQ in Newcastle upon Tyne. She joins Mediaworks to optimise omni-channel executions, already getting to work on its clients in the retail, finance and housing and construction.
Hannah said: “We’re growing our paid media efforts to offer a fully integrated online and offline proposition. Mediaworks’ proprietary IP is game-changing in the way we can now track customer journeys and insights.
“That intelligence is unrivalled in the years of experience I’ve had in media planning and buying. I’m excited about the opportunities that presents to our clients.”

Four solicitors have been promoted at Greater Manchester and Cheshire-based Maguire Family Law this October. The boutique firm is a divorce and family practice known for its international work, complex pre-and post-nuptial agreements, domestic and international divorce proceedings and private children matters.
Jennifer Curtis, who is based at the company’s Altrincham office, has been promoted to the role of director. She commented: “Having been with Maguire Family Law for almost 10 years, I have seen how the organisation has grown and adapted, and I am delighted to have the opportunity to be part of the firm’s further success in the future.”
Also promoted to the role of director is Denise Moran, a specialist in surrogacy law. Denise is based at the Wilmslow office and has worked for Maguire Family Law for six years. She said: “I am looking forward to having full involvement in what is a very exciting period of growth and development at the firm.”
Stepping up to the role of Partner is Honor Giles, who is based at the Knutsford office and has been a part of Maguire Family Law for over five years. She is a qualified mediator and specialises in all areas of family law. Honor noted: “I thoroughly enjoy and am proud to work at Maguire Family Law. The firm has a great ethos and a strong team.”
Abigail Reynolds, who is also based at the Altrincham office, has been promoted to an Associate within the team. She has been with the firm for almost three years and commented: “I am really happy to have been promoted to an Associate in the team.
“Having joined Maguire Family Law as a newly qualified solicitor, I have grown as the firm has developed. I am very much invested in and looking forward to being a part of the firm’s ongoing expansion.”
Lucinda Lay, CBRE
CBRE’s regional sustainability team has been bolstered by the appointment of Lucinda Lay, who joins as biodiversity net gain lead supporting the ESG offering and championing the delivery of nature-positive operations.
Working with regional sustainability director Lydia Dutton, Lucinda will be based in Manchester and supports the North and Scotland with a national remit to develop a biodiversity net gain proposition.
Lucinda joins from Mitie where she was both head of nature and ESG programme manager working across Lloyds Banking Group’s sustainability strategy, supporting its journey to Net Zero Carbon by 2030. At Mitie, Lydia also worked on the expansion into biodiversity net gain and nature positive solutions.
Prior to joining Mitie, Lucinda was director of operations for the Innovation Gateway alliance and as sustainability programmes manager for The University of Oxford, was responsible for the design and delivery of a £14.6m CAPEX programme to achieve 33 per cent reduction in carbon emissions across the functional estate by 2020/21.
Lydia Dutton, regional sustainability director, CBRE, commented: “As we continue to engage with our clients across the regions there is clear interest and drive to embed ESG in the North and Scotland. Lucinda brings a wealth of sustainability experience which will add significant value and insight for CBRE and our clients.”
Lucinda Lay added: “Climate change and biodiversity loss are the two significant challenges of the 21st Century. Joining the CBRE ESG consultancy provides me with a new opportunity to push through transformational change within the CRE sector.”
