Exciting Platform Extends Capacity With Appointment After Winning Grant

Living Archive, a cloud-based platform that is changing the way many sectors are approaching demonstrating impact, has appointed a new tech consultant and software developer, to expand the company’s capacity as it grows quickly thanks to a grant from North of Tyne Culture and Creative Investment programme.

Wubbleyou has joined the Living Archive team as tech partner helping to develop the platform’s capacity, contributing to the Software Studio Onboarding project to allow the founder Nick Williams to facilitate ongoing growth of the service.

Living Archive, which is used by impressive names such as Pharos Offshore, Unfolding Theatre, Citizen’s Advice Gateshead, Newcastle Creates and many community groups, is the perfect platform to collate and collaborate on actions, to store all media in one place and to curate and display projects, work, partnerships and successes, demonstrating impact. As the user, the charity can decide what is public, private and what is channelled to chosen audiences such as funders and community groups. Nick is now keen to invest in the future strategy of the company, as its success is well proven. He said:

“It has been incredibly useful to be gifted the five figure grant from the North of Tyne Culture and Creative Investment programme , which has allowed me to grow the team and strengthen the direction of the company’s future. It is an exciting time and I am glad to have experts working alongside me to ensure more and more organisations can build their own legacy.”

Wubbleyou are focused on empowering scaling businesses to grow more quickly and solve challenges using tech. They work with a mixture of public sector organisations- such as the Department for Education and UKRI - as well as many scaling businesses in the North East. Because the Living Archive platform has been designed to empower collaboration through technology, the project was a perfect alignment of values. Mark Renney, director of Wubbleyou said:

Creative UK is delivering the North of Tyne Culture and Creative Investment Programme, which is funded by the North of Tyne Combined Authority. Offering a combined package of financial and business support, it is open to freelancers and businesses working in the culture and creative industries in North of Tyne Combined Authority Area (North Tyneside Council, Northumberland County Council, Newcastle City Council). The purpose of grants as part of our investment strategy is to enable enterprises to build upon their creative and commercial ideas, creating opportunity for them to become more sustainable or grow their business.
