New multi-cuisine restaurant to create over 50 jobs at Newcastle’s Eldon Square
A modern multi-cuisine buffet restaurant, COSMO Authentic World Kitchen, is set to open its doors at Newcastle’s Eldon Square this Thursday (November 17), creating 55 jobs.
The international restaurant group is inspired by five-star hotels from around the world, offering diners food theatre and over 100 daily dishes with flavours including Chinese World of Asia, Japanese Teppanyaki, Indian House of Spice, and Italian Continental, as well as a tasting kitchen for family favourites, a Mediterranean deli, and a carvery.
A slightly smaller version of its sister venues, spanning 6,000 square feet, ‘Little’ COSMO will have a bar and 160 seat restaurant, designed by award-winning interior design company Robert Angell Design International.
The COSMO brand has gone from strength to strength since its launch in 2003, now boasting 20 venues across the UK and Ireland.

It was recently voted number one restaurant brand in the Savanta Brand Vue Most Loved Eating Out Brands and Newcastle Eldon Square has been chosen as its fourth and latest Cosmo restaurant to launch this year, following Glasgow, Bournemouth and Liverpool.
Head of operations at COSMO, Suzzanne Wink, commented: “Newcastle is a vibrant and welcoming city filled with culture, and we’re excited to wow customers with COSMO’s stunning five-star surroundings and set prices.
“After three successful launches this year alone, we believe our success is due to constant efforts in fostering a culture of innovation through cuisine and design. Each and every aspect of our business is designed to deliver an exceptional customer experience that far exceeds expectations - it really is pure food theatre.”
