Leisure to the fore: Queensgate welcome Puttstars as part of £60M extension
Queensgate has announced that Puttstars, the innovative indoor mini-golf brand operated by Hollywood Bowl Group, has opened its 20,000 sq ft space, marking the first leisure concept to open within the centre’s £60 million leisure extension.
With three unique interactive nine-hole golf courses, a selection of food and drink and the latest arcade games, Puttstars delivers an immersive and comprehensive entertainment experience.
The opening of Puttstars marks the first opening within the £60m leisure extension, with a 10-screen Empire cinema set to join the line-up next year.
Ed Ginn, Director of Investment Management at Invesco Real Estate, commented on the opening: “Queensgate’s leisure extension brings so much potential, for brands and our visitors alike. Puttstars delivers an entertaining, well-rounded offer, which appeals to such a broad demographic. This is a crucial step in bringing the leisure extension to life, and we are delighted to see them open.”
Laurence Keen, Chief Financial Officer of Hollywood Bowl Group, added: “We are so excited to launch Puttstars Peterborough, at Queensgate’s new leisure complex, it’s our first in this region. Not only are we positioned in the heart of the city centre, but we are the first in this major leisure expansion project, highlighting the value that we will bring to this destination. Our concept is all-encompassing and appealing to people of all ages, adding great food, drink, and amusements; we are delighted to have put down roots in Peterborough.”
Puttstars Peterborough is the fifth indoor mini-golf centre to open across the UK from Hollywood Bowl Group, one of the UK’s leading leisure operators. The new family entertainment centre will bring affordable fun and a quality competitive socialising experience to Peterborough, creating 30 new jobs in a variety of front of house and hospitality team roles.
