National developer opens Midlands business to support £3.2bn regeneration project
National developer Muse has established a Midlands business as part of its strategic expansion strategy and its commitment to supporting the delivery of the Midlands Engine.
Muse is continuing its path of strategic growth, by setting up a Midlands business, which will be serviced by an office in Birmingham city centre.
The mixed-use and urban regeneration company works in partnership with the public and private sector, with the mission to deliver “long-term, place-changing, sustainable regeneration to benefit communities across the UK”.
Muse was recently appointed as the regeneration partner by Arden Cross Limited, to deliver Arden Cross, a £3.2bn, “once-in-a-generation” opportunity to create a new connected destination in the heart of the Midlands Engine.
Arden Cross will include 6m sq ft of commercial space, up to 3,000 homes, vast areas of public space, key transport infrastructure and will support up to 27,000 jobs.
The team in the Midlands will be spearheaded by Birmingham born development director, Maggie Grogan, who will work alongside a wider team of development, projects and central support professionals.
Muse managing director, Kate Bowyer, commented: “Expansion into one of the UK’s key growth and economic hubs in the Midlands, has long been part of our strategy. There are a wide range of major regeneration opportunities across the Midlands that will connect people and place to the opportunities that regeneration invariably brings.
“Delivering place-changing regeneration through our regional businesses, combines local knowledge with the resources and capabilities of a national player. This move into the Midlands will enable us to provide just that within towns and cities across this burgeoning region, to create brighter futures for all.”
Development director, Maggie Grogan, added: “Being from the Midlands, I’m excited to launch our latest regional business and set to work creating opportunities for growth, investment and prosperity with our partners.
“Our work at Arden Cross is just the start of our expansion and it’s a perfect example of the scale and types of place-changing regeneration we can deliver for communities right across the Midlands.”
