The Inn Collection Group gets festive for Christmas
As part of Bdaily’s 12 days of Christmas feature focus, we hear from the Inn Collection Group. The festive spirit is in full flow at The Inn Collection Group as Inns across the north of England have been transformed with an array of bedazzling decorations and lights and delicious festive fayre emerges from the kitchens.
The group’s very own Mrs Christmas has created the festive spectacle that has decked the halls with more than just boughs of holly to create an enchanting look and feel to the warm and welcoming Inns. In place at ten of ICG’s Inns across the Lake District, Northumberland, Tyne & Wear and North Yorkshire, more than 200,000 bulbs are helping to ensure festive cheer shines brightly this December.
Over 2,000 feet of garland has also been deployed throughout, along with stunning Christmas trees and wreaths. At the group’s Cumbrian sites, The Coniston Inn and The Pheasant Inn, illuminated reindeer have also taken up residence in the grounds, adding more magic within the portfolio.
For those that one Christmas dinner a year isn’t enough, eight of ICG’s sites are offering two and three course festive fayre offerings throughout the month, whilst remaining Inns will have festive specials available too. But the good will and cheer of The Inn Collection Group goes further than dazzling décor and towering trees as it embraces the true message of Christmas which is giving.
In addition to decorating its site, the group has made donations within its communities to ensure traditional celebrations good ahead in uncertain economic times. Christmas lights displays in Ambleside and Coniston are among those that have been supported whilst in Grasmere, the RAOB Lamb and Lion (Buffs) have received funds towards Christmas presents for the village’s children at its annual Christmas party.
In Northumberland, Seahouses’ festive fireworks on New Year’s Eve have also received support and across the whole group, customers over the age of 65 are able to enjoy 50% off the cost of hot drinks through ICGs WINNter Warmers promotion, in partnership with Ringtons Tea.
Older people living alone have also being invited to special Christmas lunches at The Seaburn Inn, and The Regent Hotel in December to enjoy tasty food and company in comfortable surroundings.
Dave Walker, operations manager at The Inn Collection Group said: “We do love to celebrate Christmas in style and we’ve always been known for our amazing decorations, so we hope our customers enjoy another showstopping Christmas spectacle that hopefully make our inns among the most festive in the country.
“We’re also delighted to have been spreading goodwill and giving through our community support activities and hope that these have brought a smile to people’s faces in uncertain times.”
