Newcastle inward investment agency to champion region at “invaluable” Leeds event
Invest Newcastle has confirmed its involvement with the UK’s Real Estate Investment & Infrastructure Forum (UKREiiF), which is set to take place between May 16 and 18, in Leeds.
Inward investment agency, Invest Newcastle, part of NewcastleGateshead Initiative (NGI), drives and delivers economic growth in Newcastle and Gateshead and wider North of Tyne region by securing capital investment, working to attract new businesses, and creating jobs.
Its attendance at events including UKREiiF allows it to “champion” the North East region and its strengths on a national and international stage, with a range of regional sponsors from across the supply chain.
Following a successful inaugural event in 2022, which saw Invest Newcastle lead a 100-strong delegation to Leeds, UKREiiF is expected to grow with additional stages and content, and over 6,000 delegates predicted to attend the event.
Invest Newcastle has confirmed it will be taking its own pavilion in the Investment Zone, where it will deliver three-days’ worth of content and activity.
Jennifer Hartley, director of Invest Newcastle, commented: “There isn’t a more opportune time for our region to come together as one voice to spotlight our sector strengths on a national stage.
“UKREiiF was a great success story for Newcastle last year, it was not only invaluable to collaborate and learn from other UK cities and regions, but it was a brilliant platform for our regional sponsors to showcase their expertise and the opportunities in the North East.
“Our plans for next year are just underway, and we are building an exciting programme of events which will be even bigger and better than last year’s, exploring UKREiiF’s themes of levelling up, sustainability and inclusivity. To find out about what our region has to offer, you will be able to find us at pavilion 19.”
Keith Griffiths, chief executive officer and founder of UKREiiF, added: “We’re thrilled to be working alongside Invest Newcastle on delivering their own pavilion at the UKREiiF event this year.
“We have seen the exponential growth of the event since May, and we look forward to giving a platform for an organisation such as Invest Newcastle to showcase their projects and share insight into investment and development plans to a collection of investors, developers, end-users, and local authorities. We can’t wait to see what Newcastle has in store for 2023!”
