Lone Design Club launches in Leeds announcing a new strategic partnership

Lone Design Club (LDC) is delighted to bring in 2023 with the announcement of its new partnership with Landsec and Trinity Leeds. Lone Design Club will be working with Trinity Leeds shopping centre to bridge the gap between sustainable living and wellness brands with the launch of the “My Sanctuary: My Home” immersive pop-up experience.

LDC is renowned for its dedication and success in creating innovative pop-up stores and unique events to support independent fashion designers. However, this is their first dip into a dedicated home & lifestyle space with this one-of-a-kind store, which will offer the most innovative lifestyle, home & wellness brands.

LDC has come together with Landsec and Trinity Leeds to curate the perfect blend of designs to re-energize the lifestyle retail experience for guests at Trinity Leeds. LDC & Landsec’s exclusive partnership will drive traffic and millennial audiences to the space, allowing Trinity Leeds to capture learnings on shopper behaviour, interest, engagement and journey, which are vital to informing Landsec’s future retail strategy.

The pop up store will be located in Landsec’s Platform+ space, which launched in 2022 as part of its new product offering for retail and hospitality brands. Platform+ offers serviced short-term, fully furnished, plug & play brand activation spaces and flexible lease terms.

“The space was designed to make physical space more accessible to smaller retailers, independents and digital natives and build a truly integrated brand experience for shoppers.

LDC’s new lifestyle store will allow guests to be selective and explore a range of new independent lifestyle and homeware pieces that will brighten their homes, interiors and, eventually, their lives.

The My Sanctuary: My Home pop-up store will feature touchpoints and interactive in-store stations, as well as an extensive event and experience schedule to allow shoppers to feel part of the community, storytelling and immerse themselves in the brands’ worlds.

It will open with a celebratory launch party, with LDC’s signature complimentary bar, DJ, on-demand experiences and a short introduction to the partnership. The following month will see the store play host to insightful panel talks, interactive workshops, fun beauty experiences, VIP shopping evenings and much more.

LDC is passionate about working with progressive landlords and associations to reinvigorate the retail section. LDC Founder and CEO, Rebecca Morter, is passionate about working with sustainable designers to boost their brand reach, helping them attract customers who care.

Rebecca says: “Retail is changing. Shoppers are seeking new and more regular ways to meet and engage with their favourite brands as well as be introduced to new brands they haven’t yet encountered, both online and offline. Our pop-up stores offer a call to action, IRL, authentic and genuine experience that brings together these brands of the future and conscious shoppers looking for something meaningful and different.”

Nik Porter, head of brand account management at Landsec, said: “We launched our flexible Platform + space at Trinity Leeds last year to give brands more choice when it came to pop-up stores and shorter activations. Working with Lone Design Club to bring some of the top designers into our Platform+ space will add to the vibrancy of Trinity Leeds.”
