Tees Valley entrepreneurs encouraged to “fast-track growth” through DigitalCity programme

Early-stage digital or tech business in the Tees Valley are being encouraged to apply for DigitalCity’s Accelerator Programme 2023 ahead of the deadline later this month.

DigitalCity is a Teesside University-led initiative funded through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), which supports digital growth and transformation in the Tees Valley.

The programme consists of a bespoke package of support, including one-to-one mentoring, workshops and a grant of up to £5k to help produce a new-to-market digital product or service.

Entrepreneurs are able to fast-track the growth of their digital businesses via content that includes topics such as Intellectual Property/Law, Raising Finance and Building a Team.

Scott Watson, sector growth manager, DigitalCity said: “We’re really excited to be launching the latest Accelerator Programme.

“For the first time since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, all of the workshops are being delivered face-to-face, which is fantastic as it will bring the 2023 cohort together every week to connect and network with like-minded individuals

“The blend of expert knowledge, tailored mentoring and links to industry the Accelerator offers builds confidence in business owners, mitigates risk and ultimately helps them to build sustainable digital businesses.”

Eligible businesses have until 12 noon on 30 January to apply to the programme which is set to start on 1 March.
