Grant Thornton bolsters Private Tax team with Director appointment
Leading business and financial advisory firm Grant Thornton UK LLP have announced the promotion of Rachel Stace to Director of Private Tax.
Rachel joined Grant Thornton 10 years ago as an executive and will now take a leading role in growing the Grant Thornton Private team’s strong national network of advisors, based in the Oxford office but working across the UK as well as internationally.
In her new role, Rachel will support tax partner Richard Marsh and focus on developing Grant Thornton’s well-established offering to ultra-high net worth individuals and entrepreneurs.
Rachel and her team will act as the main point of coordination for Grant Thornton’s work with wealthy individuals, their businesses and their families, most of these being entrepreneurial in nature or large family-run organisations.
Rachel Stace, Director of Private Tax at Grant Thornton, said: “I’m really excited to work with Richard in accelerating the growth of our Private Tax business. Our goals are to build and grow over the next 12 months to further strengthen our team and the client services offering.
“I’ve been with Grant Thornton through its evolution of a specialist private advisory business, which now focusses on complex international and ultra-high net worth clients. I’m incredibly proud to have been part of that journey and of the quality of the services we have developed. I am anticipating that my first year in role as Director will be a busy one, as we look to support clients with change, succession and growth objectives in the current, relatively benign tax environment, before a potential general election in 2024 brings greater uncertainty to the tax landscape.”
Richard Marsh, Private Tax Partner at Grant Thornton UK LLP, said: “Rachel brings with her a breadth of experience, having worked at the firm for a decade. She is a trusted and knowledgeable professional who is well versed in complex matters within tax, making her a valuable asset to the team. Rachel’s progress with the firm also pays testament to our flexible culture at Grant Thornton where she has progressed with her career whilst balancing her work and family life; we are thrilled to see her promoted to director.”
