The Rolling Stones announce “exciting” exclusive fashion collaboration with MTV
The Rolling Stones have announced an “exciting” collaboration between their lifestyle brand RS No.9 Carnaby, “pioneering” youth brand MTV, and Paramount Consumer Products launching exclusively on February 17 at the Carnaby Street global flagship store.
Celebrating the Rolling Stones and MTV’s influence on shaping popular culture, the collection features both MTV and the Rolling Stones’ “iconic” logos coupled with well-known, standout slogans such as “I Want My MTV!” and the legendary lyric “It’s only Rock ‘n’ Roll But I Like it” across a must have collection of apparel and a tote bag.
The renowned ‘I Want My MTV!’ slogan harks back to MTV’s launch in 1981, when an MTV music executive convinced lead vocalist of the Stones, Mick Jagger, to be featured in the brand’s launch campaign. Jagger agreed to shout into the camera “I Want My MTV!” for the commercial.
The Rolling Stones commented: “MTV has been such an important part of our journey – helping us by sharing our music to the world. We are very pleased to be able to continue to work with MTV, and bring exclusive collaborative products to our fans.”

David Boyne, managing director of Bravado, added: “We are thrilled to collaborate and create a collection of apparel that celebrates the band and MTV’s influence on the global music industry.”
Pam Kaufman, president and CEO of international markets, global consumer products & experiences for Paramount, concluded: “We look forward to offering fans this definitional collaboration that brings together one of the greatest brands in music, MTV, with one of the greatest rock bands of all time, the Rolling Stones.”
The Collection will launch exclusively on Friday February 17, at the global flagship store at 9 Carnaby Street, London and online for worldwide shipping.
